I see the potential before it exists.
I’m Talah Amiri, a California-licensed architect and founder of Talah Amiri Architects, Inc., a South Bay–based architecture practice.
For nearly two decades, I’ve worked across residential, hospitality, and commercial design. And somewhere along the way, I realized the spaces we remember most aren’t necessarily the biggest or the most expensive.
They’re the most considered.
Someone thought about how you arrive. Where the light falls. What you see from bed. How privacy is created. How a bathroom can feel less like a utility and more like a ritual.
Great hospitality understands this instinctively. I believe our homes should, too.
That idea became Resort Residence.
I saw homeowners being asked to choose between two extremes: generic plans that solve for square footage, or a fully custom architectural process that starts with a blank page. I wanted to create something in between.
A beautiful architectural starting point—already thoughtfully designed, yet supported by an architect when it’s time to make it real.
Each Resort Residence concept is designed around experience first: arrival, natural light, privacy, landscape, proportion, indoor-outdoor connection, and the small moments that make a space feel extraordinary.
Because luxury, to me, isn’t about having more. It’s about how thoughtfully what you build has been designed.
A compact residence can feel expansive. A simple opening can frame an unforgettable view. A backyard can hold an entirely different way of living.
That’s what I love about architecture. Seeing what could be there before anyone else can.
